Review: It's Complicated

A couple weeks ago I went to see It's Complicated (If you don't know that this is the latest Meryl Streep movie that also includes Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, you aren't allowed to call yourself a movie fan, sorry!)

I love this movie! It's funny, sharp, witty and quick. Meryl, Alec and Steve just don't care anymore and go all out with this movie. Which is so much fun to watch. And it certainly doesn't degrade their acting, because you hardly ever get to see one of them acting better. Normally I find Steve Martin a bit annoying. He always jumps at the opportunity of a joke and I find that frustrating. But he managed to control himself in this movie and was only funny at the right times. Like this amazing scene where Meryl and Steve smoke pot and then go to a party. At this party they act all giggly and hilariously funny.

Another great character was Meryl's son-in-law. He discovered the affair that was going on between Meryl and Alec and did everything in his power to prevent anyone else finding out, but also to prevent them finding out that hé knows. This leads to a lot of funny moments as well, which he did superbly.

I know I mentioned funny quite a lot, but you shouldn't put this movie in the same category as You Me And Dupree or Couples Retreat. It's more sophisticated than that.

Well hope y'all see it!

Sort of Trailer - Beastly

There's a new movie called Beastly coming up. It is based on the book, and the book is based on Beauty and the Beast. Instead it is set in modern day time and involves everyday people.
-in this case teenagers of course-
Anyway, it stars vanessa hudgens, for whom I have a newfound respect since I liked her in Bandslam,
-and I love love love the way she dresses-
and the gorgeous Alex Pettyfer, who believe it or not, still looks beautiful when he is 'the Beast'.

Plot: A boy who is incredibly selfish and vain is teached a lesson by the evil witch (Mary Kate Olsen) who turns him into a beast. He kidnaps Vanessa Hudgens and forces her to live with him. And so to fall in love with him. Will she?

Is James McAvoy Ian Fleming?

There are rumors that James McAvoy will play Ian Fleming in the movie of his life. I always like it when people make movies of the lifes of people who wrote stories that we love. Now we'll finally get to see who the man behind James Bond really was. Can McAvoy do it?
Well I think McAvoy has surprised me many times already and I would like to see what he makes of it.
